What is ARMEX® blasting?
How does ARMEX® blasting work?
|
|
The particles are propelled by compressed air through specialized blasting machines. ARMEX® blasting particles remove surface contaminant by the energy released as the particles explode when pressure-driven into contact with the contaminant surface. The resulting energy release disrupts the contaminant surface and blows it away – thus leaving the substrate completely unaffected. Air pressures and hence, soda blasting particle velocity, can be varied from as low as 20 psi on soft bases to 150 psi or more on hard surfaces. The operator sets the air pressure depending on the nature of the substrate and the type of contaminant to be removed. |
What are the advantages of ARMEX® blasting?
ARMEX® blasting is the latest, greenest technology that allows the operator to safely strip parint and or clean nearly any surface. The ARMEX® blasting machine uses compressed air to deliver the media onto the surface to be cleaned. In comparison to sand blasting, ARMEX® blasting is much kinder and gentler to the underlying surface.
The process is gentle enough to remove the coating without harming the substrate, virtually any coating can be removed from most surfaces. ARMEX® blast media is non-toxic and contains no free silica. It is non-sparking, non-flammable, non-hazardous, and environmentally safe.
